“The project for the University of Technology in Jamaica, aims to bring new techniques and methods of design and construction to the fore through the university’s School of Engineering. With that, the intent is to foster its image while creating a beacon of technology and contemporary thought for the University.

Suspended above an existing structure, the new facilities for the school  provide a state of the art auditorium, classrooms and being the highest point on the site, an observation space for the growing university campus. It’s roof will hold photovoltaic arrays to optimize the building’s energy use as well as a garden that serves as a cooling device and as an area of rest.”
